Search travelers heading to the same place at the same time, see why you match, and connect only when both of you agree. Use it on the web or straight from your AI assistant.
How it works
- Search for free. Browse trips by destination and dates. Profiles are masked: first name, age range and home city only.
- Post your trip. Add where you're going, when, and what you're looking for: someone to split a room, a hiking partner, a photographer.
- Get ranked matches. Overlapping dates, shared languages, shared needs and similar plans, with a one-line reason for every match.
- Connect by double opt-in. Both people accept before anything is shared. Contact details are exchanged only between ID-verified travelers.

Travel Companions is a remote MCP server. Add it as a connector in ChatGPT, Claude, Meta AI (Muse), Grok, Cursor or any MCP client:

Safety and privacy
- Adults only: everyone confirms they are 18+ before connecting.
- Your email, phone, birth date and exact address are never public.
- Report or block anyone; repeated reports hide a traveler's trips automatically.
- Export or delete your data at any time.
Questions
Is Travel Companions free?
Yes. Searching trips and travelers is free and needs no account. Posting a trip needs a free account. Premium adds more active trips, higher limits and priority ranking.
What can other people see about me?
Only a masked card: your first name and last initial, an age range such as 25-29, your home city, languages, interests and your trip plans. Your email, phone, exact birth date and full postal code are never shown.
How does connecting with a travel buddy work?
You send a connection request for someone's trip. Nothing is shared until they accept. After both sides accept you can message through our relay, and contact details are exchanged only when both travelers have verified their ID.
Can I use it from ChatGPT, Claude, Meta AI or Grok?
Yes. Travel Companions is a remote MCP server, so any assistant that supports MCP connectors can search trips, post your trip and handle introductions for you. There is also a REST API with an OpenAPI description.
Who can use Travel Companions?
Adults only. You must be 18 or older and accept the Terms before you can connect with other travelers.
How are matches ranked?
By overlapping travel dates, departure city, shared languages, shared needs such as splitting a room or a car, and how similar your plans and interests are. Every match comes with a short explanation.
